Vesaniemi, on the shore of Lake Vesijärvi, has a winter swimming area where you can go from an ice hole to a warm sauna.
The Saarikylä villages include seven villages on the islands of Lake Roine that have even been called the Åland islands of Inner Finland. The villages offer an authentic old-time countryside atmosphere. It is nice to paddle in the postcard landscapes, shielded by the islands. You can rent a canoe, kayak or SUP board from the Haavisto organic farm. The farm also provides overnight accommodation and sauna bathing.
