Lake Trails – cycling trails offer a piece of Finland’s most beautiful nature and an unforgettable journey for all nature lovers – hop on your bike and travel to enchanting tranquility accompanied by lush forests and crystal-clear waters.

Längelmävesi, chosen as the regional lake of Pirkanmaa, is located in the heart of Pirkanmaa, within the national landscapes of Orivesi and Kangasala. The famous song “Kesäpäivä Kangasalla” (A Summer Day in Kangasala) sings of its beauty: “Längelmävesi, shining with a silvery glow.” The romantic rural landscapes and clear waters of the lake have inspired artists for centuries.

Along the route, you can explore unique art sites and meet artists, including three renowned sculptors: Aimo Tukiainen, Teemu Luoto and Kimmo Pyykkö. Stop and let the scenery and attractions inspire you! The route traverses diverse rural landscapes, vibrant villages and culturally as well as historically interesting sites.

There are several unique cafés and cyclist-friendly accommodation possibilities along the route. The route is also conveniently accessible by train.
