Kangasala’s newest pride and joy is the Kangasala Arts Centre. The modern cultural centre is located in the Kangasala town centre, an 18-kilometre drive from Tampere.
The Kangasala Arts Centre includes a 290-seat concert hall, the Kimmo Pyykkö Art Museum, an art gallery and meeting facilities for Kangasala’s Town Council and Town Board.
The programme of the Kangasala Arts Centre features classical and popular music, visual arts, theatre, cinematography, dance and literature. Events are also provided for children and youth.
The Kangasala Arts Centre and the adjoining library building constitute the attractive Cultural Quarter where you can enjoy local food, changing works of art or, for example, organise meetings of hobby and association actors.
Operators in the Cultural Quarter include the Kangasala main library, K-kino, restaurant Armas Galleria&Keittiö, café Novellia, Art Space Terra and the Valkeakoski College.
